Not just a room with a padlock and a timer. Not a franchise concept shipped in from somewhere else and dropped into a converted commercial space. What you found is Unknown Escape Game Saudi Arabia’s only fully original, Saudi-built escape room brand, with a home right here in Al Khobar on Prince Sultan Road.

If you’ve played Escape the Room Khobar before, you’ll feel the difference the moment you walk through the door.

If you haven’t, you’re about to understand what all the talk is about.

What “Escape the Room” Is Actually Supposed to Feel Like

The phrase gets thrown around loosely these days. Any venue with a lock on a door and a countdown clock calls itself an escape room. But done properly, the idea is something much more specific and much more rewarding.

A real escape-the-room experience drops you inside a world that’s been fully built out around you.

The room itself becomes a character. The puzzles aren’t random brain-teasers bolted on for difficulty’s sake .

And that 60-minute clock isn’t just there to add pressure.

When it’s done right, you stop feeling like you’re playing a game. You start feeling like you’re inside one.

A lot of venues across the Eastern Province haven’t quite gotten there yet  thin sets, disconnected puzzles, a story that only exists in a paragraph on a website and nowhere inside the actual room. Unknown Escape Game was built to fix exactly that.

What Makes Unknown Escape Game Khobar Different

We’ve been running our Khobar location since 2018. Along the way we’ve picked up over 900 verified reviews and a 4.9-star average

the highest of any escape room brand in the Kingdom  and welcomed tens of thousands of players from across the Eastern Province and beyond.

Here’s what actually sets us apart:

Everything is original designed and built in Saudi Arabia.

Every room here was written, designed, and physically constructed by our own Saudi creative team, from scratch.

Nothing licensed, nothing imported, nothing cut short on the build.

What you’re standing inside doesn’t exist anywhere else.

The production quality is genuinely cinematic.

We build like film sets, not furniture showrooms real architectural construction, lighting calibrated to the emotional beat of each scene, sound design that shifts as the story unfolds, and in a few of our rooms, live actors woven into the narrative.

It’s the difference between a film and a slideshow.

Both technically “tell a story.” Only one makes you forget where you are.

Every session is 100% private.

No strangers get added to your group, no shared time slots the room is yours, entirely, for the full hour.

Escape rooms

run on trust, between teammates and with the space around you. Privacy is what makes that trust possible.

Our game masters work comfortably in Arabic and English.

Briefings, hints, and in-room storytelling all flow naturally in either language, which is a big part of why we’ve become the go-to choice for Khobar’s mixed, multinational crowd.

Prices start from 350 SAR for 2 players.

Our Rooms — Pick Your Story

Museum Heist

8

 Action / Strategy · Medium–Hard ·

2–8 players Infiltrate a high-security museum, disable the alarms, and get out with a stolen artifact before the guard rotation catches you. This is the room that best shows what escape-the-room can be when story, space, and puzzles are woven together properly every clue moves the plot forward, every lock you crack is a scene change.

Fewer than 40% of teams escape. Not because it’s unfair, but because it asks for the kind of teamwork most groups don’t realize they’re missing until they’re in the middle of it.

Room 1408

5

Psychological – Hard ·

2–8 players · Recommended 15+ A hotel room with a history no guest has walked away from until yours.

This one leans on atmosphere as much as puzzles; the environment is built to make clear thinking genuinely hard to hold on to.

It’s not a jump-scare room. It’s slow, layered, and it rewards the rare person who can stay composed when everything around them is telling them to panic.

SWAT Mission

3

 Tactical Action · Medium ·

2–8 players A hostage situation, a hidden device, and your team as the only option.

This is our fastest, most physically kinetic room and the debrief conversations afterward (who took charge, who kept their head, who cracked) are always the most interesting part of the night.

Happy Death Day

2 1

Mystery / Time-Loop · Medium ·

2–8 players A birthday party in Las Vegas.

A deadly gas plot. A time loop that won’t stop resetting until you break it.

This is our most inventive room, built around a non-linear story that has your team thinking on several puzzle layers at once.

It’s consistently the favorite for couples and for anyone who prefers lateral thinking over a straight line.

Giza

13

 Adventure / Archaeological · Medium ·

2–8 players Ancient Egyptian secrets, buried curses, and a pyramid that isn’t giving anything up easily.

A visually stunning room that rewards curiosity more than brute-force logic.

Who’s This For?

escape-the-room-khobar

Friends looking for a night that produces real stories, not just photos.

The shared memory of running out of time with one lock left unsolved, or the moment one person on your team spots the clue that changes everything that’s what people actually talk about for weeks afterward.

Couples wanting something better than dinner and a movie.

A 60-minute countdown gives you a shared mission.

The collaboration creates real moments.

And the conversation in the debrief afterward tends to run long.

Families with kids 10 and up.

Our Happy Death Day room in particular is built to work well for mixed-age groups and kids often outperform adults on the spatial puzzles, which is one of the moments parents mention most in their reviews.

Corporate teams.

Over 500 companies across Saudi Arabia have run team-building sessions with us. Our corporate packages include catering, branding, professional media coverage, and post-session performance reports.

Birthdays and special occasions.

Custom welcome screens, photography, and catering packages are all available for groups celebrating something.

Why Players Keep Coming Back

Over six years, we’ve noticed the players who return  and a fair number of our regulars have now played every room we offer.

The details you only notice the second time.

  • Our rooms are layered on purpose.
  • First-timers focus on solving.
  • Return players start to notice the story the room has been telling them the whole time.

The relationship with the game master.

  • Reading a room  knowing when to nudge with a hint, when to let the frustration build toward a breakthrough.
  • when to just get out of the way  takes years to learn, and it’s one of the things our reviews mention most.

The debrief conversation afterward.

Who led, who noticed what, how the group handled pressure this often ends up being the most memorable part of the whole night.

The close call.

  • Some of our favorite stories from players involve escaping with 30 seconds on the clock.
  • That’s exactly what the 60-minute format is built to produce.

The fact that it’s genuinely hard.

  • Our average escape rate across all Khobar rooms is 34%. That’s not a marketing number we’re softening .
  • Our players don’t want a win handed to them. They want to earn it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it scary?

Not by default. Museum Heist, SWAT Mission, and Happy Death Day have no horror elements at all.

Room 1408 is built specifically for players who want a psychological thriller.

Giza has atmosphere but nothing frightening. Every room is labeled clearly so you know what you’re walking into.

Do I need experience to play?

No. Every session opens with a full briefing from your game master, and the rooms are designed to work for total beginners while still challenging experienced players.

What if we get stuck?

Your game master is watching the whole session and can offer hints on request — or step in if your team’s been stuck on one puzzle too long. Hints are a normal, expected part of the experience, not a failure.

Can we bring a big group?

Individual rooms hold up to 8–10 players depending on the room. For anything larger, we run simultaneous sessions across multiple rooms we’ve hosted corporate groups of 50-plus before.

Is there parking?

Yes, free parking right at the location on Prince Sultan Road.

Can I reschedule?

Reach out at least 24 hours ahead and we’ll do our best to accommodate the change.

If you searched for “escape the room Khobar” expecting a locked door and a stopwatch you found something a lot more interesting than that.

Unknown Escape Game takes the idea seriously: original stories, cinematic builds, and a team that’s spent six years figuring out how to give someone an hour they genuinely won’t forget.

The Eastern Province’s most immersive escape room experience is waiting for you. Book your session today.
